In the building of the former landowner estate, the Museum of the History of the “White Villa” is located - an architectural monument of the late classicism era. In 1918, the estate and the ownerless land around it were transferred to the workers of the Lyubertsy Ukhtomsky harvesting machine plant, who founded the Trud artel here. There was a time when manor mansions were used as a dormitory and dining room. The foundation was broken and adapted for keeping chickens and pigs. In 1928, in the "Guide to the Surroundings of Moscow" the artel was already mentioned as a state farm GLZ im. Ukhtomsky. And in 1933, the name “State Farm“ Belaya Dacha ”appeared in official papers.
Davydov began to collect for the future museum various documents, photographs and other materials that preserve the history of Belaya Dacha. This monument of architecture of the 17th century experienced during the years of Soviet power not the best of times. Until 1990, the walls of the temple were both warehouses and a car repair base. Since 1991, the restoration of the temple and its reconstruction began.
The temple was built by the masters of the royal stone order in 1675. At the beginning of the 19th century, a bell tower was built according to the project of architect Gilardi.
The Church of the Icon of the Kazan Mother of God is one of the unique monuments of Moscow architecture, a classic example of the Moscow architectural school, which laid the foundation for the formation of the famous "Russian Baroque".
The hill on which the temple rises is still one of the highest points in the vicinity of the capital. The height of the modern foot of the temple is -170 meters above sea level.
Time, fires, wars changed the appearance of the temple. The hardships that befell all Christians of the Russian land after 1917 were also measured out at the Kotelnikovsky church. When Andrei Tabachenkov, in 1990, at the request of believers, was appointed rector, only the lower limit remained suitable for service. From this time began a new life of the temple - they decided to restore it in its original form. Despite the destruction,
Many interior details, temple arches, foundations of five chapters have been preserved. Based on this, the restorers under the leadership of N.A. Bykovskaya set to work. Six years later, the main limit was revived. The consecration of the throne and the iconostasis was performed by the vicar of the Moscow diocese, His Eminence Gregory, Archbishop of Mozhaisk. In 2003, the bell tower was completely restored. A choir sounded in the temple, a parish school began to work, a bell ringing was heard over the city of Kotelniki. With the blessing of the Metropolitan of Krutitsky Juvenal, the revered image of the Mother of God of Kazan was kept in the church, which was stored for many years in the Assumption Church of the village of Zhilino.
Today, with joy for our native land, we come to the reviving temple and proudly bring the guests of the village here.
The temple was restored by the forces of the Administration of Kotelniki, as well as charitable contributions of the leading enterprises of the city.
